A good women's sports bra is not just a garment, it's your best ally for feeling free and secure in every movement. Choosing the right size is key to avoiding discomfort, improving your performance and protecting your health while you train. Whether you're looking for a high-impact sports bra for your most intense sessions or a lighter style for yoga and Pilates, this guide will help you get it right every time.

How to measure your sports bra size in 3 steps

Finding the perfect size for your sports bra is much easier than you think. Unlike traditional lingerie, where you need to work out cup and band size, with a sports bra you only need two key measurements: your bust and your underbust. This guarantees a secure, comfortable and functional fit, especially for high-impact training.

Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your bust.

Measure just below your bust to find your band size.

Step 1: Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your bust.

Place the tape at bust height, over the most prominent point (usually at nipple level). Make sure the tape is level, neither too tight nor too loose, and note the number in centimetres. This measurement is your guide to your overall size.

Step 2: Measure just below your bust, without pulling tight, to find your band size.

Place the tape just under your bust, where the sports bra's underband will sit. This measurement is essential to make sure the bra stays firm without excessive pressure that makes it hard to breathe.

3 tips for finding the perfect fit

Adjust the straps

Raise your arms. Does the bra stay firmly in place? Perfect! Adjusting the straps is key to keeping the bra from moving during your workout. They should hold without digging in or leaving marks, giving you freedom of movement in every exercise.

Check the band

Slide a finger under the underband: it should be snug, without squeezing or leaving gaps. The band is the base of the support, and a poor fit can cause discomfort or a lack of support. If it rides up your back, you need a size down; if it's hard to breathe, a size up.

Support test

Do 5 jumps or the most intense movement in your routine. If your bust shifts or bounces too much, the support level isn't right. For high-impact training, look for a high-support sports bra with wide straps and a reinforced back. For yoga or Pilates, go for comfort and flexibility.

Why is wearing the right sports bra size so important?

A bra that doesn't fit well can cause chafing, back pain and even affect your posture. In workouts like running, HIIT or dance, a lack of support can lead to discomfort and lost performance. The key is to choose a high-support sports bra if you train with impact, or a softer style if your routine is calmer. And remember: the perfect size prevents bounce, lets you breathe properly and gives you the freedom you need.

What level of support do you need?

High-impact sports bra: Ideal for running, HIIT or sports with jumping. Maximum stability with wide straps

Medium support: Perfect for fitness, spinning or functional training.

Low support: Designed for yoga, Pilates and gentle activities, where comfort and freedom come first.
